A harmonious blend of 2 pounds of Shroomability straw pellets and 3 pounds of water yields the perfect 5-pound substrate block. For an optional enhancement, consider incorporating food-grade lime and gypsum powder into the mix.
It’s important to sterilize the substrate before using it. Place the pellets in a large mixing bowl, pour boiling water over them and pressure cook at 15 psi for 2.5-3 hours. Let cool in cooker.
